Empower Marketing Asia Pte. Ltd. (the “Company”, “Ridenjoy”, “we”, “us” or “our”) recognises that people who use Ridenjoy’s website www.ridenjoy.sg (the “Website”) and the Ridenjoy mobile application (the “Application”) (collectively referred to as the “Service”) value their privacy. This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) sets out the basis which we may collect, use, disclose or otherwise process your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (“PDPA”). This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Website and Application.

Personal data collected by us and how your information is used can be adjusted in the Ridenjoy Application. 

USER ACCOUNTS 

User accounts are created when you use our Service (the “Account”). The Company will collect and use your information, including metadata (as described below), in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This is the case whether or not you choose to register your Account by adding your email address or logging in with your social network accounts (such as Google, Facebook or Tencent WeChat).

Upon creation of the Account, the Company will link any information you provide us with your registered Account. This may include, without limitation, information received from devices and browsers which you have chosen to sign in with. Information provided to us will only be visible to the Company, save for information relating to your approximate location and any information you contribute to the Service from time to time, as the case may be, to other users associated with your registered Account.

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

When you use the Service, we may collect and use certain personal data and other relevant information which may identify you or your location (collectively, “Information”).  

Information collected by us enables us to provide better services to our users. Such information can assist us in, for example, generating the safest and most enjoyable route, reporting a medical situation, customising the J-Shops (directory of participating online merchants, hereafter referred to as “J-Shops”) product listing and suggesting relevant Joy Stops (directory of participating offline retail partners, hereafter referred to as “Joy Stops”) while using the Ridenjoy Application for riding to you. The Information that the Ridenjoy Application collects, and how that Information is used, depends on how you choose to use our services and how you manage your privacy controls. 

When you create an Account or share Information with us

• Information collected when creating an Account with us may include your name, email address and/or other information collected to create a Ridenjoy profile (if any). Ridenjoy will explicitly indicate the fields requiring completion. If you do not enter the requisite data in these fields, you may not be able to register your Account or be provided with certain features.
• Information shared with us include your username, reports associated with your username, phone number, addresses, active mobility mode details, geographic locations, search queries, reports and files you upload to the Service, including photos. You can also choose to add payment information to your Account, if applicable, specifically for J-Shops services.
• We may also collect Information through your communications with us.
• If your Ridenjoy Account is connected to your social network account(s), the Company may collect and retain any Information you share with Ridenjoy and/or other users’ information from your social network account(s). 

From your use of our Service

Information collected from your use of the Service may be used by us to provide you with features to personalize your experience. This may include identifying preferred routes and proposing Joy Stop or Joy Beacon (the location-based AR gamification at various locations found in the Application, hereafter referred as “Joy Beacon”) destinations you might prefer, to streamline your search and riding experience. The activity information we collect may include:

• your location, travel and route information;
• IP addresses and other information from sensors and receivers on or around your device, on which the Application is installed and activated; 
• your search history, views and interactions with content and advertisements, interactions with Joy Beacons, Joy Stops and J-Shops and other functions provided by our Service;
• your activity on third-party websites and applications that you link to your Ridenjoy Account or which you interact with through the Service; and
• Metadata (information about your device, browser and application use). 

Metadata collected may include:

• information relating to the frequency and duration of the use of our Service, your device type, unique identifiers, operating system type & version, battery usage, third party web pages or applications you visit or use or interact with via the Application, information viewed using our Service, advertisements shown to you or that you interact with, frequency and duration of communications with other users and/or third parties, the Internet Protocol address and the name of the domain used to access the Service, and the geographic location of the device when using the Service.
• information regarding the interaction of your devices with our Service, including crash reports, system activity, and the date, time, and the URL referrer.

Information we collect through third parties or publicly available sources

We may receive your personal data and other relevant information from third parties which are located in various countries. These include technical data from analytics providers, advertising networks and social media platforms. 

PURPOSES OF COLLECTING AND USE OF INFORMATION

We may collect and use your personal data and other relevant information for any or all of the following purposes: 

(a) to create your Account;

(b) to verify your identity;

(c) to manage our relationship with you; 

(d) to administer, operate, provide, maintain optimize and protect the Service (including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, system maintenance, support, reporting and hosting of data, as well as ensuring that unauthorised users do not access the information on our Service); 

(e) to deliver relevant content and advertisements to you and measure or understand the effectiveness of the advertising we serve you; 

(f) to make suggestions and recommendations to you about products or services that may be of interest to you; 

(g) to send you relevant information about our events, news announcements or promotions;

(h) to enable you to complete a survey or participate in a promotion, survey, event or other marketing campaign organised by us; 

(i) to contact you in relation to all of the above; 

(j) to comply with any applicable laws, regulations, codes of practice, guidelines or rules, or to assist in law enforcement and investigations conducted by any governmental and/or regulatory authority;

(k) any other purposes for which you have provided the information; or 

(l) any other incidental business purposes related to or in connection with the above. 

The purposes listed above may continue to apply even in situations where your relationship with us has been terminated or altered in any way, for a reasonable period thereafter (including, where applicable, a period to enable us to enforce our rights under any contract with you). 

INFORMATION SHARED BY YOU

The Service is a one-stop mobility lifestyle platform that aspires to make active travel safer and more enjoyable through community-powered digital mapping through a community of users publicly sharing information with Ridenjoy and other members of that community.

Information shared through the Service to all users or to your friends on Ridenjoy is shared at your own discretion and decision. Information you share to all users of the Service may be made public and should not contain any private, personal or confidential information. Incidents you report may include your location data indicating your vicinity to such incidents. Therefore, you must exercise caution and care when submitting information to the Service to be made available to the public. Information shared in such manner may also be shared via third party services (such as social networks) which interact with the Service upon your choice. 

Except as detailed below with respect to information shared from your social network accounts according to your privacy settings for such social network accounts, your email address will not be visible to others through any reports or user posts that you share or upload.

Ridenjoy disclaims all liability in regard to the sharing of any information by users to the public. Users are advised to exercise due caution and care when making any information publicly available when using the Service. 

Your participation in another user’s activities or events resulting from, directly or indirectly, the use of the Service, is entirely at your own risk. Ridenjoy is not and shall not be a party to any agreement entered into between the users in any circumstances. The user in using the Service shall comply with all relevant laws, regulations or other such duty. Ridenjoy shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense incurred as a result of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Disclosure of information

Ridenjoy will not disclose your Information to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use unless we have obtained your express consent to do so and pursuant to executing confidentiality agreements with such unaffiliated third parties, except for the following limited circumstances:

(a) as necessary for the facilitation, operation and improvement of the Service;

(b) Ridenjoy may share your Information with third parties to comply with a legal obligation, when we believe in good faith that an applicable law requires it, at the request of government authorities conducting an investigation, to verify or enforce our contractual rights or other applicable policies, to detect and protect against fraud or any technical or security vulnerabilities, to respond to an emergency, or otherwise to protect the rights, property, safety or security of third parties and visitors to our website or the public;

(c) in any case of dispute, or legal proceedings of any kind between you and Ridenjoy, or between you and other users with respect to, or in relation with the Service;

(d) in any case where Ridenjoy reasonably believes that sharing Information is necessary to protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Ridenjoy, our users, or the public as required or permitted by law, including to prevent imminent physical damage or damage to property;

(e) if any bankruptcy or reorganisation proceeding is brought by or against us, all such information will be considered an asset of ours and as such it is possible they will be sold or transferred to third parties;

(f) to collect, store, hold and manage your personal data through a cloud-based hosting service;

(g) Ridenjoy may also share the Information with companies or organizations connected or affiliated with Empower, such as subsidiaries, sister-companies and parent companies (i.e. entities that belong to Empower); and

(h) we also work with selected advertising and measurement services which help us understand how our users interact with advertisements served in our Application and in order to provide marketing, advertising and measurement services for Ridenjoy with respect to Ridenjoy’s own marketing efforts, by using and sharing devices’ identifiers (i.e, Advertising ID, cookies or similar technologies).

COOKIES

We use cookies and other technologies in our related services, including when you visit our Website or access our Service. 

A "cookie" is a small piece of information that a website assigns to your device while you are viewing a website. Cookies are very helpful and can be used for various purposes. These purposes include allowing you to navigate between pages efficiently, enable automatic activation of certain features, remembering your preferences and making the interaction between you and our Service quicker and easier. Cookies are also used to help ensure that the advertisements you see are relevant to you and your interests and to compile statistical data on your use of our Service. 

The Website uses the following types of cookies:

(a) 'session cookies' which are stored only temporarily during a browsing session in order to allow normal use of the system and are deleted from your device when the browser is closed; 

(b) 'persistent cookies' which are read only by the Website, saved on your computer for a fixed period and are not deleted when the browser is closed. Such cookies are used where we need to know who you are for repeat visits, for example to allow us to store your preferences for the next sign-in; 

(c) 'third party cookies’ which are set by other online services who run content on the page you are viewing, for example by third party analytics companies who monitor and analyze our web access.

Cookies do not contain any information that personally identifies you, but Information that we store about you may be linked, by us, to the information stored in and obtained from cookies. You may remove the cookies by following the instructions of your device preferences; however, if you choose to disable cookies, some features of our Website may not operate properly and your online experience may be limited.

We also use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about your use of the Website. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users access the Website, what pages they visit when they do so, etc. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve our Website and Service. Google Analytics collects the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit sites, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this Site is restricted by the Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy .

VISIBILITY 

Please note that your location may be visible to others. If you do not wish for your location to be shown on the Ridenjoy map, you may adjust your privacy settings by disabling the visibility of your location data by other users. Disabling the visibility of your location data may affect some features of the Service. 

INTEGRATION WITH OTHER THRID PARTY SERVICES

Information shared with us through your social network accounts are shared at your discretion. Similarly, Information relating to your use of the Service that is shared to your social network accounts are shared at your discretion.

By integrating your Ridenjoy Account with your social network accounts, including by signing onto the Ridenjoy Application using your social network account, you agree to share Information between Ridenjoy and such social networks for the purposes provided under this Privacy Policy. Information collected from your social network account shall only be collected in accordance with the permissions granted by you. 

You understand and agree that Ridenjoy may access, use and disclose such Information obtained in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  

CONTROLLING YOUR INFORMATION

Accuracy of the Information

If any Information relating to your Account is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated, you should make all necessary changes to correct it. Inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information may prevent you from setting up an Account and impede our ability to provide you with the Service.

Privacy Controls

You may safeguard your privacy and Information by changing the settings of the Application. There may include other device-level settings which may allow you to further control the Information and location data that may be shared with the Application. 

RETENTION OF INFORMATION

If you would like us to delete your Account, please contact us at hello@ridenjoy.sg. Once we receive your request, all Information will no longer be used to personalize your Ridenjoy experience and will be deleted where no longer required.

Ridenjoy may retain your Information for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable laws.

Ridenjoy will cease to retain your Information, or remove the means by which the Information can be associated with you, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that such retention no longer serves the purpose for which the Information was collected, and is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes. 

In some circumstances we may anonymize the Information (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF INFORMATION 

We may store data on servers located around the world and your Information may be processed on servers located outside of the country where you live. 

If any Information is transmitted to countries outside of Singapore, we will take steps to ensure that your personal data continues to receive a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided under the PDPA.

PROTECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION

Ridenjoy considers information security to be a top priority. To safeguard your Information from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks, we have introduced appropriate administrative, physical and technical measures. 

However, you should be aware that these measures are unable to provide absolute assurance and that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While security cannot be guaranteed, Ridenjoy continues strive to protect the security of your information and are constantly reviewing and enhancing our information security measures.

EFFECT OF PRIVACY POLICY AND CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY

Ridenjoy reserves the right to modify the terms of this Privacy Policy from time to time. If Ridenjoy makes changes, it will provide you with notice of such changes, such as by sending an email, providing a notice through the Services, or updating the date at the bottom of this

PRIVACY POLICY

You agree to be bound by any of the changes made in the terms of this Privacy Policy. Unless Ridenjoy says otherwise in its notice, the amended Privacy Policy will be effective immediately and your continued access to and use of the Service after Ridenjoy provides such notice will confirm your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the amended Privacy Policy, you must stop accessing and using the Service.
